Condor – affording standout in a cluttered marketplace
As a niche operator between the UK, Channel Islands and France, with fierce competition from airlines and other holiday destinations, thoroughly understanding our audience through ongoing research, and using this to focus our campaigns has been vital.
Our brand-led ‘Sail Away’ creative platform was a switch to a more premium, experience-led rather than A to B ferry approach. The proposition brings to life an ocean connection at every touchpoint - from beautiful imagery and video content, right through to onboard comms.
We coupled this with the latest programmatic AV and digital techniques, to make the most of every penny of investment, at the same time expanding our demographic targeting to a much broader area, and getting to new potential travellers.
The result - a 24% increase in car bookings in 2024, and also significantly increased brand awareness and purchase consideration in brand new areas.

Red Funnel have been operating services to the Isle of Wight for the best part of 2 centuries. The original, authentic operator, they are a characterful company, staffed by generations of islanders and with an amazing heritage.
The challenge – how do we encapsulate all of this into a new positioning which also works with the character of the destination?
We talked to people throughout the business and found a unique spirit, and also a real consensus on what makes the company special – its people and the service they deliver, its sense of fun and its long-standing connection to the island.
Together, Red Funnel and the Isle of Wight are 'Wonderfully Different'.
